Frequently Asked Questions (F.A.Q.) Can I pay a deposit with my credit card? Yes. We credit card and eCheck payments through PayPal. What type of equipment do you use?
Do you do portrait photography? Yes, we do. Click here to find out more. What equipment do you use? For portrait photography, we use umbrella lamps, various backgrounds, and the Canon 20D camera with a variety of professional grade lenses. For videography, we use professional wireless mics, shotgun mics, wired mics, and 3 CCD video cameras like the Canon GL2 and the Sony PDX10. For video editing, we use Vegas. Are your customers happy with your work? Read some customer testimonials. View some of our video samples, or our portrait photography and wedding photography samples. Can I get my wedding pictures in a proof book? Yes. Since we shoot several hundred photos at most weddings, this is the best way to choose which photos you want printed. See the weddings page for more details. What is a web commercial? A web commercial is just a relatively low cost commercial (or promotional video) that is produced for the web. When potential customers visit your website, they can click on a link to view your promotional video from their web browser. Which video formats do you support? Colorado Film Works can create high quality DVD movies, VHS movies, and highly compressed mpeg movies that can be accessed from websites. Will my DVD Player play DVDs created by Colorado Film Works? Virtually all DVD players sold in the past couple of years will play DVDs created by Colorado Film Works. Our movies are created in the most compatible format (DVD-R). For a list of all compatible DVD players, go here. What type of media do you use? We have all photographs professionally printed on professional grade photo paper. For DVD movies/videos, we use high quality DVD-R discs (DVD-R is the most widely compatible DVD disc type). How much does it cost? You can request an email price quote using our request form. Can I add photographs to a video? Yes you can. We can incorporate either digital photos or printed photos (which we can scan here). Can you animate (pan and zoom) the photographs to make them more interesting in the DVD movie? Yes we can. Ken Burns used this technique to great effect in his award winning documentary on the Civil War. We can pan from one subject in the photo to another, or do a slow fade in or fade out. Do your finished DVD movies have a menu so I can quickly navigate between scenes? Yes, you can either play the DVD movie straight through, or you can navigate to different scenes. Are there any restrictions on the movies you make? We do not make illegal copies of copyrighted material nor do we make X-rated DVD movies from video. Thank you. Do you have a question not answered here? You can request more information or a price quote using our request form.
