Our Wedding Videography Services

The Video Camera(s)

It all starts with the video cameras. Colorado Film Works uses professional grade, 3 CCD video cameras. With their superior image quality and excellent low light performance, these cameras are ideal for recording wedding ceremonies in the dimly lit conditions of some churches and reception halls. All packages include two video cameras, so your ceremony is covered from two different vantage points.

The Videographers

Our videographers have years of experience of filming events in a variety of lighting conditions and we understand how to extract the best video possible from a particular venue. We switch from regular to wide angle lenses to focus on individuals as well as capture large group shots. We also film the exterior of the church from a variety of angles and also film such details as the flower arrangements and the guests arriving. The more quality video we shoot, the more options we will have in the movie editing (post production) stage.

We also understand the need for a videographer to be as invisible as possible. At Colorado Film Works, our videography stands out, but our videographers do not!

We don’t stick cameras in the faces of people who prefer their privacy, and we don’t use obnoxious lights that intrude upon the joy of the occasion (we don’t need lights because of our cameras' excellent low light capability). We do, however, capture the beauty of the ceremony and the joy in the guests faces. At the reception, we move around and record all of the guests and interview people who wish to be interviewed.

The Sound

To capture the audio from the ceremony, we have a wireless external microphone that the groom can clip to his jacket. We also employ shotgun microphones, wired microphones, and use professional audio editing software to maximize the sound quality in your video.

The Editing and Post Production

After we’ve filmed the wedding, our post production work begins. Colorado Film Works uses professional, non-linear video/audio editing tools like Sony Vegas and Premier. We select the best video clips and music of your choice and weave them into a rich cinematic experience you will treasure for a lifetime. We gauge the tone you want in your wedding movie by the music you select and our consultations with you. Some people like a more classic tone to their movie, some prefer a more light hearted tone. Others prefer a little of both. We can create the movie to suit your taste.

We employ a variety of tasteful Hollywood style transitions and effects in creating your masterpiece. We include a “bride and groom growing up” sequence of photos (or any other photos you choose) in your movie.

The Finished DVD Movie

Your final DVD will have a navigation menu so you can quickly navigate to various parts of the movie, a highlight video set to the music of your choice, and a custom DVD cover with a photograph of your choice. The final edited movie is saved at the highest resolution and fills the entire DVD (about an hour).

You get three copies of the final DVD (and can order additional copies at a discounted price).

The Web Page

We also create a web page for you with information, pictures and video clips of your wedding. Your friends and family can go to this page (for free) to see some wedding highlights! Here is a sample page.
